The goal of the Board of Election is to provide the citizens of the county with the best possible services, and to conduct fair, honest and impartial elections in an efficient and economical manner.
The Board of Election Office is charged with the overall responsibility of administering the election process and campaign finance disclosures for all elections held in Lincoln County.
By a resolution dated August 20th, 2024, the Lincoln County Board of Elections will permanently move Salem precinct. This is for election day voting only. The new precinct location will be The Asbury Academy, 221 Salem Church Road, Lincolnton.

Public Records Request must be made in writing and sent to the Elections Office. Please allow up to 7 days for requests to be processed. Requests will not be processed until payment is received.

The Vote in Honor of a Veteran Program provides North Carolinians an opportunity to pay tribute to those who have served this country in the Armed Forces. Any voter can honor a veteran on any Election Day by requesting a pin. Pins are provided for free by the State Board of Elections. Each pin can be personalized with the name of the veteran a voter wishes to honor.
